What’s in a name?

YHWH. The tetragrammaton. Yahweh. That’s the name we’re looking at this week.

I have been like a kid on a car trip asking, “Are we there yet?” in anticipation of this post.  I’m going to send you to a post that will blow your ever-loving mind.

Click here. Do it. You’ll be glad you did. I’ll wait. Then come back.

Mind. Blown. Right?

Behold the nail. Behold the hand. YHWH points to Jesus.

It gets better. Jesus’s Hebrew name is Yeshua. (יְשׁוּעָה)

The LORD (Ya) is my strength and my song, and He has become my salvation. Exodus 15:2a

Do you know what the Hebrew word for salvation is? If you know how to look that up, go ahead. If not, here’s the Blue Letter Bible link. Now scroll down to salvation.

Salvation is Yehoshua in Hebrew!

Putting it all together, YHWH means “Behold the nailed hand – which is salvation.”
